Franksville Giant Hot Dog Sign On Chicago's North Side
On the corner on Harlem & Addison on Chicago's north side is Franksville a hot dog stand. In an era of look a like signs this one is truly unique. It has been in business for almost fifty years and at one time it was part of what was going to be the first chain of hot dog stands. They got up to seven locations but that was all. This building is the third one while the sign has been here as long as I can remember.
